TADPOLE GALA / TIMETRIALS

These are ran twice a year and all swimmers age 9/under compete in the tadpole gala.  All swimmers age 10+ in both tadpoles and development are expected to attend for them to register up to date times.

TEAM GALA’s

We attend various team gala events throughout the year.  The Ridings is where we send our fastest swimmers as this is the SADSA league.  We also have friendly’s where our swimmers that do not get selected for the ridings have the opportunity to swim in a team environment.  As a club we are known for our TEAM SPIRIT and will usually be the last team cheering on team mates in the final event.  We therefore ask that all swimmers stay poolside til the end of these galas.

Team sheets are emailed out and put on the noticeboard.  If your swimmers is selected can you please make every effort for them to attend.  We have a bus that swimmers can be chaperoned on to make this easier for you!

HAMBLETON CHAMPS

25’s finals for 8/U, 9/10 and open on a club level and no medals on the day. 

Entries for this event will be online made by individuals and paid directly to Hambleton.  Medals will be 1-3^rd in each age group.

CLUB CHAMPS

The results of the swims from the Hambleton champs are collated and awards for the following events will be handed out at the Annual Prize giving.

All 50’s/100’s/200’s/100IM/200IM/400free

Points are allocated as follows GOLD 3 Silver 2 Bronze 1.  1^st to 3^rd prizes per age group also awarded at prize giving

OPEN GALA’s

An email will be sent to inform you of what open galas the club is attending and which squad/swimmers the gala is for.  All galas are also listed on our website.

SQUAD PROGRESSIONS

The Criteria for each squad is on our website.  Each swimmer is considered as a “whole” ie, attitude, attendance, performance in training (including test sets), performance In competitions before any lane or squad moves are made.  Speak to their coach or email headcoach.thirskswimteam@gmail.com for feedback.
